Shortly after the Giant's Windpipe the route emerges 10m. or so up above the Crabwalk, not far from Garland's Pot. To exit, it's normal to traverse along for 20m. or so, upstream, to reach a substantial thread for a roped descent. It's also perfectly possible to climb down from below the thread.
